Your Role as a Manufacturing Team Leader

The Manufacturing Team Leader is accountable for optimizing production efficiency while ensuring the quality and integrity of the products. This position involves maintaining a safe and effective work environment while guiding and overseeing team members. A significant portion of the leader's time will be dedicated to the production area, identifying opportunities for enhancement, monitoring safety protocols, production metrics, quality standards, and compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices and corporate guidelines.

Location: Manufacturing Facility

Work Arrangements: 100% on-site. Night Shift: 4:30pm-4:30am

Key Responsibilities:
  • Effectively coach and motivate team members to achieve optimal productivity and performance.
  • Oversee all daily operations and long-term goals of the department, collaborating with managers across various shifts or departments.
  • Conduct comprehensive investigations to identify and rectify the root causes of manufacturing challenges.
  • Collaborate with HR, Quality, and Maintenance teams to address and resolve issues.
  • Ensure compliance with work rules and Good Manufacturing Practices at all times.
  • Deliver high-quality products and services through continuous improvement initiatives; adhere to company standards and operational procedures.

Qualifications:

Minimum Requirements:
  • High School diploma or GED is essential.
  • A BA/BS Degree in Continuous Improvement, Food Science, Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
  • 1-3 years of leadership experience in a manufacturing setting is required, or 1+ years of leadership experience with a BA/BS degree in Engineering, Continuous Improvement, or Food Science.
  • Proficiency in computer software programs such as Microsoft Excel, Word, and SAP is necessary.
Preferred Skills and Experience:
  • Experience in the food and beverage manufacturing sector is highly desirable.
  • Ability to troubleshoot malfunctioning equipment and processes to ensure product quality.
  • Capability to understand and learn the specific equipment used in a bakery and its operations.
  • Bilingual proficiency in Spanish and English is highly preferred.
Work Environment:

This position operates within a manufacturing environment, where noise levels can be elevated.
