Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Packaging Inspector to join our team at Simmons Foods, Inc. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient production of packaged products.

Key Responsibilities
  • Inspect cans for label alignment, can codes, UPC, dents, droops, and other defects
  • Strip improper labels and notify supervisor and maintenance of any mechanical problems
  • Notify Tray Packer operator of label or code changes and monitor label adhesion
  • Assist with can changeovers and manage downtime for cleanup
  • Verify that can code matches schedule and labels
  • Communicate with Unloader/Brite Stacker operators and Palletizer operator to ensure proper pallet count
  • Perform weekly sanitation and participate in ongoing development and implementation of team concepts
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • Ability to read, write, and understand English
  • Machine operation experience preferred
  • Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices
  • Manufacturing or warehouse experience
