Job Title: Lead Maintenance Electrician

At Sika, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Maintenance Electrician to join our team. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for leading and training staff electricians to perform a wide range of electrical tasks, including preventative and corrective maintenance, equipment installation, and project support.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide on-call support as needed
  • Instruct and guide staff electricians in all skilled activities
  • Elevate the skill set of subordinates through in-house and off-site training
  • Coordinate teams of electricians and ensure work is completed in a timely manner
  • Oversee subordinates, inspecting work to ensure standards are met
  • Work with the Maintenance Planner to order electrical parts and schedule PM and repair work as needed
  • Repair and replace VFDs, contactors, PLCs, and other failed electrical components
  • Modify existing electrical components to comply with safety regulations and cost-saving measures
Requirements:
  • High School Degree
  • Journeyman Electrician License
  • 10+ years of experience in industrial electrical in a production environment
  • Prior forklift certification a plus
  • Familiarity with environmental, health, and safety regulations
  • Good electrical aptitude and ability to analyze and troubleshoot problems
  • Knowledge of PLCs, VFDs, and automated production equipment
  • Extrusion and sheet line experience a plus
  • Familiarity with utilizing a CMMS
