Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervision and Leadership:
  • Lead, manage, and motivate a team of maintenance technicians, electricians, and mechanics.
  • Coordinate daily maintenance activities and ensure timely completion of tasks.
  • Provide training, mentoring, and development opportunities to the maintenance team.
  • Conduct performance evaluations, ensuring alignment with company goals.
  • Preventive Maintenance & Repairs:
  • Oversee the implementation of preventive maintenance programs to reduce downtime and increase equipment reliability.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic issues within the plant.
  • Plan and schedule routine maintenance activities, ensuring minimal disruption to production.
  • Production Support:
  • Collaborate with production and engineering teams to ensure maintenance issues do not impact production schedules.
  • Provide rapid response to breakdowns and coordinate repairs to keep production running smoothly.
  • Ensure the timely availability of critical spare parts by working with the procurement department.
  • Safety & Compliance:
  • Ensure that all maintenance activities are carried out in compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
  • Identify and mitigate safety risks related to equipment and plant infrastructure.
  • Conduct regular safety inspections and audits within the maintenance department.
  • Promote a culture of safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
  • Continuous Improvement:
  • Analyze equipment performance and implement process improvements to optimize equipment efficiency.
  • Participate in root cause analysis and corrective actions for equipment failures.
  • Support lean manufacturing initiatives and drive continuous improvement within the maintenance function.
  • Budget & Cost Control:
  • Monitor and control the maintenance budget, including labor, materials, and equipment costs.
  • Prepare and submit reports on maintenance activities, costs, and equipment performance.
  • Collaborate with the finance and operations teams to develop cost-effective maintenance strategies.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required. Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Industrial Maintenance, or a related field preferred.
  • 3-5 years of supervisory experience in a maintenance role within the automotive or manufacturing industry.
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems typically found in automotive manufacturing environments.
