Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Speech Language Pathology Assistant to join our team at HealthPRO Heritage. As a Speech Language Pathology Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing speech therapy services to our clients in a school setting.

Responsibilities:

* Administer speech therapy programs utilizing specialized therapeutic techniques and equipment
* Assist with the development of goals and objectives for assigned clients
* Provide feedback to supervisors regarding trials for patients for recommending communication devices/aids as indicated
* Document client progress toward goals and objectives by preparing records, logs, goal sheets or other means of documentation
* Provide assistance to staff as needed and through consultation, training, and various activities;
* Maintain clinical competency in speech language pathology practice and theory
* Identify patient and family/caregiver needs for other services and refer as appropriate
* Instruct patient, family/caregiver, and other Organization health care personnel in the patient's treatment regime as indicated
* Daily Communication with clinical supervisor and Lead SLP
* Implement speech and language programs or activities as planned and directed by speech-language pathologists
* Monitor the use of alternative communication devices and systems

Qualifications:

* Graduate of an accredited school of speech language pathology assistant with a Bachelor's Degree in Speech Language Pathology
* Current State License to practice Speech-Language Pathology Assistant
* One year experience as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant preferred
