About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Privacy Analyst to join our team at the State of Montana. As a key member of our organization, you will play a critical role in establishing and evaluating departmental practices and procedures on data privacy.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough privacy threshold analyses, risk assessments, gap analyses, and impact assessments in collaboration with legal counsel and technical staff.
  • Develop and deliver data privacy training programs to ensure a culture of data privacy within the organization.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to embed data privacy practices into departmental operations.
  • Stay up-to-date with state and federal privacy laws and regulations, and ensure compliance with all relevant standards.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as human resources, business, or sociology.
  • Two years of experience in a related field, with a strong understanding of data privacy principles and practices.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Ability to interpret and understand state and federal privacy laws, with a strong attention to detail.
