We are seeking a highly skilled Privacy Analyst to join our team at the State of Montana. As a key member of our organization, you will play a critical role in establishing and evaluating departmental practices and procedures on data privacy.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough privacy threshold analyses, risk assessments, gap analyses, and impact assessments in collaboration with legal counsel and technical staff.
  • Develop and implement data privacy training programs to embed a culture of data privacy in Departmental operations.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with state and federal privacy laws.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to identify and mitigate data privacy risks.
  • Develop and maintain policies and procedures related to data privacy.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field, such as human resources, business, or sociology.
  • Two years of job-related experience, or any combination of equivalent experience and education.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to interpret and understand state and federal privacy laws.
  • Knowledge or interest in privacy law, including certifications such as CIPP/US or CIPM.
