JOB DUTIES:
As the first Privacy Analyst in DLI, you will be on the ground floor of establishing and evaluating departmental practices and procedures on data privacy. You will be responsible for reviewing and conducting privacy threshold analyses, privacy risk assessments, gap analyses, and privacy impact assessments in concert with legal counsel and technical staff. You may be involved in audits of data recipients. You will also be involved in the standup and delivery of data privacy training and embedding a culture of data privacy in Departmental operations. This position will work across all divisions and functions in DLI and its attached agencies.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITES:
If you are the right person for this opportunity, you will have the following knowledge, skills or abilities:
Exemplary written, verbal, and interpersonal skills necessary to communicate and work with Department staff and Montana citizens; Demonstrated aptitude for reviewing and analyzing systems and processes by reviewing technical documentation and by speaking with an interviewing users; Ability to prepare written reports and analyses of data flow and appropriately document privacy requirements in keeping with applicable state and federal law; Ability to interpret and understand state and federal privacy laws; Knowledge or interest in privacy law (including CIPP/US or CIPM certification) preferred.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Your preparation for this opportunity could include a combination of relevant experiences including:
Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business, sociology, or related field. Two years of job-related experience.OR
Any combination of equivalent experience and education to successfully perform the essential functions of the position will be considered.Requirement:
