Position Overview:
Reporting directly to the President/CEO, the Senior Executive of Commercial Banking is responsible for overseeing all aspects of commercial lending, collaborating with bank ancillary product partners, and managing operational activities across various lines of business. This role is pivotal in developing, implementing, and managing a comprehensive commercial lending and deposit strategy that aligns with both short-term and long-term organizational goals while fostering and enhancing customer relationships.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the commercial division by setting a strong example, while simultaneously managing a portfolio of significant commercial relationships.
- Direct the Treasury Management division of the bank.
Minimum Qualifications:
A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related business discipline is preferred, or equivalent professional experience.
At least ten (10) years of experience in commercial lending across various verticals and asset classes within a traditional banking environment is required.
A minimum of five (5) years in progressively responsible leadership roles within a commercial lending platform in a traditional banking setting is essential.
Demonstrated practical knowledge of products and services, including but not limited to U.S. Small Business Administration lending programs, loan participations, interest rate hedging products, wealth and investment management, title insurance, and Federal Home Loan Banks (FHLB) products.
Proficient computer skills are necessary, including advanced capabilities in spreadsheet software and intermediate skills in word processing and presentation tools.
A strong understanding of key regulatory issues and control assessment processes is required.
Eligibility for registration with NMLS is mandatory.
A robust commitment to business development and active community and civic engagement is essential.
