Job Overview

Interstate Companies is seeking skilled Inside Sales Parts Consultants to enhance our Central Parts Sales Team.

The successful candidate will possess a proactive approach and strive to build strong relationships with clients to foster additional business opportunities. We are looking for motivated sales professionals who are eager to excel.

As a vital member of the Central Parts Sales Team, you will manage overflow inquiries from our Parts Department across the region. The ability to multitask is essential, as you will engage with several customers simultaneously. While experience in Inside Sales and Parts Counter operations is advantageous, it is not mandatory.

This role involves processing customer orders, making outbound sales calls, and managing documentation. As part of the Centralized Parts Sales Team, you will apply your selling and negotiation expertise to promote our product offerings to existing and potential clients. The Centralized Parts Sales Consultant will be accountable for addressing customer inquiries promptly and effectively in a dynamic, team-oriented setting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Handle incoming phone inquiries related to our product lines and product manual sales.
  • Conduct outbound sales calls to existing and prospective clients.
  • Identify upsell opportunities by recommending additional related products or current promotional items.
  • Advise customers on alternative products based on availability.
  • Respond promptly and courteously to all inquiries and concerns.
  • Monitor weekly, monthly, and quarterly performance and sales metrics.
  • Maintain a comprehensive database (CRM) of client information.
  • Adhere to and enhance the suggested script for this role.
  • Foster enduring relationships with customers through friendly and engaging communication.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma required; post-secondary education preferred.
  • Experience in the industry is preferred.
  • 2+ years of inside sales experience preferred.
  • Demonstrated customer service skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Strong computer proficiency, including MS Office and CRM software.
  • Proven track record of successful sales performance preferred.
  • Persuasive and goal-oriented mindset.
  • Positive attitude essential in a busy sales environment.
