Logistics Fleet Coordinator

Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced Logistics Fleet Coordinator to join our team at Port City Logistics Inc. As a key member of our logistics team, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient scheduling and dispatch of drivers, coordinating fleet maintenance, and communicating with customers to ensure timely deliveries and operational success.

Job Description: As a Logistics Fleet Coordinator, you will be responsible for managing the scheduling and dispatching of vehicles and drivers to ensure on-time deliveries and pickups. You will also be responsible for optimizing vehicle routes to improve efficiency, reducing fuel consumption, and minimizing downtime. Additionally, you will coordinate with drivers to handle any unexpected delays or issues, adjusting schedules as needed. You will also be responsible for coordinating vehicle servicing and maintenance with external vendors or trucking maintenance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage Scheduling and Dispatch: Manage the scheduling and dispatching of vehicles and drivers to ensure on-time deliveries and pickups.
- Optimize Vehicle Routes: Optimize vehicle routes to improve efficiency, reduce fuel consumption, and minimize downtime.
- Coordinate with Drivers: Coordinate with drivers to handle any unexpected delays or issues, adjusting schedules as needed.
- Coordinate Vehicle Servicing: Coordinate vehicle servicing and maintenance with external vendors or trucking maintenance.
- Collaborate with Team: Collaborate with team to plan and optimize delivery routes based on customer demands and operational efficiency.
- Communicate with Customers: Provide timely updates to customers on delivery statuses and any potential delays or issues.
- Address Customer Concerns: Address and resolve customer concerns related to fleet services and deliveries.
- Maintain Records: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all dispatch activities.
- Manage Billing: Manage the billing process for customers, ensuring accurate invoicing for services provided.
Requirements: To be successful in this role, you will need a minimum of 2-3 years of experience in logistics coordination or dispatching. You should have familiarity with DOT regulations and fleet safety protocols. You should also have a strong understanding of dispatching, fleet management, and logistics operations. Additionally, you should have effective verbal and written communication skills to liaise with drivers, customers, and internal teams.
Benefits: As a Logistics Fleet Coordinator, you will be offered a competitive salary of $65,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on your experience. You will also be offered a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as a 401(k) retirement plan.
Work Environment: As a Logistics Fleet Coordinator, you will work in a warehouse environment with a moderate noise level. You will be required to wear protective clothing and may be required to operate heavy equipment. You will also be required to lift heavy packages up to 50 pounds and may be required to climb ladders, use hand tools, and/or use heavy machinery.
Estimated Salary: $72,500 per year.
