Yard Jockey

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $21.00 - $23.00 per hour based on experience.

Monday-Friday 7:30am-4:30pm

Essential Responsibilities

1. Follows appropriate safety procedures while driving trucks in yard, off yard and to destination
2. Checks vehicle to ensure that mechanical, safety, and emergency equipment is in good working
order, report to location manager if any issues are found
3. Efficiently coordinates work with internal and external workers of the company
4. Maneuvers truck into loading or unloading position, following signals from warehouse team
members as needed
5. Regular, predictable, full attendance

Required Skills
1. Valid Drivers' License
2. Great vision, depth perception and spatial orientation skills
3. Good oral communication and detail-oriented written communication skills
4. Organized, able to multitask and able to manage time well
5. High School diploma or equivalent degree required

Physical Demands
1. Constant movement
2. Extended periods of time during which this person must be capable of sitting, standing, walking,
reaching with arms, pulling, pushing, and using upper and lower extremities for repetitive motion
3. Ability to lift up to 75 pounds

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

Work is generally performed in a warehouse environment. The noise level is moderate. Generally, well ventilated, and well lit. Warehouse team members may be required to wear protective clothing. Additionally, may operate heavy equipment and strict safety regulations may be required.

PHYSICAL EFFORT:

Work is physically strenuous, and team members are required to lift heavy packages up to 50 pounds. Work may require excessive bending or stooping. Team members may be required to climb ladders, use hand tools, and/or use heavy machinery (e.g., forklift, etc.). The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Light duty options may be available.
