Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Post Production Systems Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining our client's key video and visual effects systems, pipeline workflow, render farm operation, and management.

Key Responsibilities
  • System Administration and Innovation: Oversee complex, high-performance, mission-critical video and visual effects systems, and develop new infrastructure solutions to boost production capabilities.
  • Technical Expertise: Manage critical server, storage, and networking hardware, focusing on Mac OS, Rocky Linux, CentOS, Red Hat, and enterprise-class Ethernet and other networking channel systems.
  • Problem-Solving: Efficiently analyze and troubleshoot complex systems, devising and implementing solutions quickly to ensure ongoing production uptime.
  • Preventative Maintenance: Coordinate maintenance schedules and conduct proactive system diagnostics to maintain system health.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Maintain effective communication across diverse teams to support and integrate creative workflows.
  • Technology Advancement: Lead the coordination and management of video and visual effects infrastructure, advocating for and incorporating new technologies based on user requirements.
Requirements
  • Maya Expertise: Proficiency in Maya is required, showcasing skills in 3D modeling, animation, and rendering.
  • Cinema 4D (C4D) and Creative Cloud: Experience with C4D and Adobe Creative Cloud, with strong operational knowledge of After Effects.
  • Render Farm Management with ThinkBox Deadline: Experience managing rendering workflows using ThinkBox Deadline.
  • Visual Effects Systems and Pipeline Workflow: Expertise in VFX systems, pipeline workflows, and supporting creative end users within a CG or animation environment.
  • Post-Production Engineering Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience demonstrating a deep understanding of video post-production technologies and workflows, including large-scale editing, Final Cut Pro, Nuke, and other CG/VFX-specific tools.
  • Mac and Linux Operating System Experience: Essential experience with Mac OS, Rocky Linux, CentOS, and Red Hat operating systems, indicating a broad capability in managing various system environments.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts clearly.
Compensation & Benefits

This full-time role offers a salary of $175,000-$200,000 depending on experience. ASG LLC offers a comprehensive benefits package that includes medical, dental, vision insurance, short-term and long-term disability insurance, life insurance, 401k, paid time off, and more.
