Job Title: Staff Media Systems Engineer

At LinkedIn, we're seeking a highly skilled Staff Media Systems Engineer to join our Studio Engineering team. As a key member of our team, you'll be responsible for designing and running our global Live Production platform, ensuring seamless execution of large live events and productions for both internal and external customers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Implement, maintain, and monitor LinkedIn Studio Broadcast standards across 7+ studios.
  • Develop global media workflows (Live and Studio Recording) to deliver content globally.
  • Collaborate with the team's creatives to configure production systems that achieve creative and content visions.
  • Work with the Ops team to develop efficient live video workflows, encoding procedures, and streaming protocols.
  • Direct support of live productions, including off-site productions (travel may be required).
Requirements:
  • BA/BS Degree in a related technical discipline or equivalent practical experience.
  • 8+ years of experience in AV and Broadcast systems engineering.
  • 8+ years of experience in Live video delivery.
  • Familiarity with emerging IP media technologies, SMPTE 2022-6, ST2110, AES-67, Dante audio NMOS IS-04 05 06.
  • Operational experience with video storage solutions.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Service management-minded, translates complex technical needs to customer outcomes.
  • Familiarity with IT networking, VLAN, Routing, ACL, QoS.
  • Network IP protocol knowledge including AVC/HEVC, RTMPS, RIST, JPEG-2000, H264/5, SRT, NDI, and stream analytic analysis.
What We Offer:
  • A competitive salary range of $127,000 to $207,000.
  • Annual performance bonus, stock, benefits, and/or other applicable incentive compensation plans.
