As a caregiver on the G70 Hematology and Oncology Unit, you will work alongside passionate and dedicated colleagues to provide the highest quality, safest care to adult patients receiving chemotherapy, targeted cancer therapies, radioactive iodine, and other types of radiation therapies.

The G70 Hematology and Oncology Unit focuses on the diagnoses and treatment of various malignancies and hematologic diseases, from new diagnosis to the end of life. Our team-oriented and supportive culture includes daily 7am huddles for both the night shift and day shift to start/end their shift with an optimistic mindset.

As a caregiver in this position, you will work a day/night shift rotation, working either 7:00 a.m. - 7:00 p.m. or 7:00 p.m. - 7:00 a.m. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Providing direct nursing care
  • Implementing, monitoring, evaluating, updating, and revising patient care plans
  • Monitoring, recording, documenting, and communicating patients' conditions
  • Administering prescribed medications and treatments
  • Noting and carrying out physician and nursing orders
  • Assessing and coordinating patients' discharge needs
  • Educating patients and their families

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Graduation from an accredited school of professional nursing
  • Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN)
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA)
  • One year of current acute care RN experience (will consider military RN experience)
