Job Summary

Cleveland Clinic is seeking a highly skilled Advanced Practice Provider to join our Hematology Oncology team in an inpatient setting. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide primary and specialty care to patients, working collaboratively with physicians and other healthcare professionals to deliver exceptional patient outcomes.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough medical histories and perform complete physical examinations to establish a record of the patient's current health status and develop a working diagnosis and treatment plan.
  • Perform and interpret common laboratory, radiologic, cardiographic, and other routine diagnostic procedures to identify pathophysiologic processes.
  • Prescribe and monitor medications as allowed by prescriptive authority through applicable state Board of Nursing/Medicine and CCF policy.
  • Participate in medical team rounds and collaborate with nursing, medical, and other healthcare team members to ensure quality patient care.
  • Refer patients to specialists as appropriate for consultation or for specialized health resources and treatment.
  • Ensure continuity of care by serving as a liaison between patient and other members of the multi-disciplinary care team or with other specialty areas as necessary.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited APRN program.
  • National certification as a Nurse Practitioner or Clinical Nurse Specialist by nationally accredited organization recognized by state Board of Nursing.
  • Must have arrangements with at least one physician in accordance with requirements set forth by the State Board of Nursing in applicable states.
  • Must be credentialed and privileged by the Medical Executive Committee and the Governing Body of the applicable hospitals.
