About the Role

This leadership position requires a seasoned Registered Nurse with more than 2 years of experience in Surgical Intensive Care Unit settings. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the Texas Nursing Practice Act and be skilled in coordinating patient care delivery using the Parkland nursing professional practice model.

  • Education: A graduate from an accredited school of nursing, BSN preferred
  • Experience: At least 2+ years of PCU nursing experience, with a preference for acute care settings
  • Certification/Registration/Licensure: Current RN license or temporary RN license from the Texas Board of Nursing; or valid Compact RN license
Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing expert care to assigned patient populations, exercising independent judgment in delivering nursing care that demonstrates patient-centered values. Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing continuous assessment and consulting with other team members as required
  • Developing and implementing individualized plans of care
  • Delegating interventions to healthcare personnel based on patient needs and competencies
