Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Heavy Equipment Operator to join our team as a Crane/Boom Driver. This role involves operating a crane or boom on delivery trucks, including rigging, planning, and hoisting heavy construction materials.

About the Role

As a Crane/Boom Driver, you will be responsible for driving delivery vehicles to transport materials to locations or customer sites that require the operation of a crane or boom. You will also operate the crane or boom on delivery trucks, ensuring safe and efficient loading and unloading of materials.

You will need to have a valid CDL license and a Boom or Crane Operator certification. In addition, you must be able to lift and carry up to 100 pounds frequently and on occasion may be required to lift and carry, with assistance, up to 200 pounds.

Responsibilities
  • Drive delivery vehicles to transport materials to locations or customer sites that require the operation of a crane or boom.
  • Operate the crane or boom on delivery trucks, including rigging, planning, and hoisting heavy construction materials.
  • Calculate the boom/crane capacities and weights and check clearances to ensure safety.
  • Calculate the weight of materials to ensure it is not over the weight limits of the truck and/or DOT regulations.
  • Address and resolve customer issues as appropriate.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED) and two (2) years driving experience.
  • A minimum of one (1) year experience operating a Boom or Crane.
  • A valid CDL license at all times.
  • Boom or Crane Operator certification.
