The Rigging Millwright will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of industrial machinery, equipment, and systems, with a focus on rigging and lifting operations. This role requires a skilled tradesperson with strong knowledge of millwright practices and rigging techniques, ensuring that equipment is properly installed and maintained in a safe and efficient manner.
Key Responsibilities:
- Rigging & Lifting: Safely rig, lift, and move heavy machinery, components, and equipment using cranes, hoists, winches, and other rigging tools.
- Installation & Assembly: Install and assemble industrial machinery, mechanical systems, and equipment according to technical drawings, schematics, and project specifications.
- Alignment & Calibration: Ensure proper alignment and calibration of equipment, including motors, pumps, conveyors, and mechanical systems.
- Safety Compliance: Follow all safety guidelines and procedures, including proper rigging techniques, to minimize the risk of accidents or equipment damage.
- Inspection & Assessment: Conduct inspections and assessments of equipment to identify potential issues, wear, and tear, and recommend necessary repairs or replacements.
- Documentation & Reporting: Maintain accurate records of all work performed, including inspections, repairs, and maintenance activities. Complete necessary reports for management and regulatory compliance.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with other tradespersons, engineers, and technicians to ensure projects are completed on time and within specifications.
