- Collaborate with Interdisciplinary Teams: Work closely with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care.
- Maintain a Safe Environment: Implement and maintain a safe and efficient operating room environment, adhering to hospital policies and procedures.
- Communicate Effectively: Clearly communicate with patients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure informed decision-making and optimal patient outcomes.
- Participate in Continuous Quality Improvement: Contribute to the development and implementation of quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and safety.
- Education: Associate's degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN)
- License: Current RN licensure in the State of Connecticut
- Experience: Zero to six months of experience in a surgical setting
- Certifications: Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) certification, with ACLS, PALS/ENPC, TNCC, and trauma hours certifications preferred
This role requires manual dexterity, significant occupational risk, and very heavy physical effort. The working environment is fast-paced and requires attention to detail, with significant exposure to dirt, odors, noise, and human waste.
