Responsibilities- Assess patients' physical, mental, and emotional status, developing and implementing individualized care plans to meet their unique needs.
- Administer medications, following the 5 Rights of Medication Administration, and educate patients and families on medication management.
- Conduct thorough physical assessments, identifying potential safety risks and implementing interventions to prevent harm.
- Provide patient and family education, assessing learning needs and developing plans to meet those needs.
- Delegate tasks to other healthcare team members, ensuring that care is delivered in a timely and effective manner.
- Participate in leadership roles, promoting a positive work environment and assuming charge nurse responsibilities as needed.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care transitions and optimal patient outcomes.
- Current licensure to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of Connecticut.
- Basic Cardiac Life Support (CBL) certification within three months of hire.
- Additional certifications may be required based on unit-specific standards.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple responsibilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
This is a Per Diem position, requiring flexibility and adaptability to meet the needs of our patients and healthcare team. The successful candidate will be able to work in a dynamic environment, with varying shifts and assignments.
