Geospatial Database Engineer

Compass Point is seeking a skilled Geospatial Database Engineer to support our government customer at Hurlburt Field, FL. As a member of our team, you will contribute to the development of virtual environments flown on Special Operations Forces ground and air simulators, providing operational intelligence support for integrated SOF mission planning and rehearsal in real-world combat environments.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Produce, develop, monitor, manage, and perform GIS data editing tasks, processes, and workflows.
  • Edit and create geospatial informational (GIS) data in support of 3D simulation projects.
  • Utilize ArcGIS tools (ArcPro) to solve spatial problems and troubleshoot GIS data issues and processes.
  • Ensure quality control is performed on all data digitized for each data project.
  • Validate geospatial accuracy and certify the use of intelligence data in completed projects.
  • Design geodatabase architecture and workflows using ArcGIS Enterprise.
Requirements:
  • Ability to obtain a Secret clearance.
  • Associate or Bachelor-level degree and a minimum of 5 years of professional and relevant experience.
  • Experience supporting military/DoD programs is a plus.
  • Combination of training, education, experience (including Military service) equivalent to a degree and required years of experience may be acceptable.
  • Experience with ESRI ArcGIS suite of software and geodatabase administration.
  • Understanding of GIS fundamentals (coordinates, projections, spatial analysis).
  • Knowledge of 3D database generation workflow.
  • Experience with geographic information systems data types.
  • Experience creating and manipulating multiple geospatial intelligence data formats.
  • Proficient user of ESRI ArcGIS Suite (Pro, Enterprise, etc.), Python, Presagis Suite, 3D Studio Max, Autodesk Maya, FSI Vital DBGS, TerraSim TerraTools, VBS4 Toolkit, Adobe Photoshop.
