Job Summary

This position is responsible for providing intelligence support to the acquisition life cycle for the Joint Threat Warning System (JTWS) at HQ Air Force Special Operations Command (AFSOC). The primary purpose of this position is to support effective research, development, fielding, employment, sustainment, and improvement of AFSOC capabilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Serves as a multi-source Intelligence Specialist, performing complex intelligence analysis with emphasis on AFSOC, United States Operations Command (USSOCOM), Air Force, and DoD programs/systems acquisition activities.
  • Provides intelligence support to AFSOC/A2P programs, systems, and processes, employing expertise to achieve technical understanding of a US weapon system's intelligence information requirements.
  • Presents ISR capabilities to a variety of program office, service, national, and/or coalition customers, applying knowledge of acquisition and IC, to include awareness of the variety of intelligence databases, collection management, requirements management, IC roles and responsibilities, online intelligence documentation, and new intelligence technology developments.
  • Serves as an Intelligence authority on specific ISR programs, systems, or issues, making recommendations and defending positions to the Program Office, directorate and/or center leadership, and other command-level or external customers.
Requirements
  • U.S. Citizenship Required
  • All new DCIPS employees are required to complete a two-year DCIPS trial period.
  • If authorized, PCS will be paid IAW JTR and AF Regulations.
  • This position is subject to provisions of the DoD Priority Placement Program.
  • Must be registered for Selective Service, see Legal and Regulatory Guide.
  • Employee may be required to work other than normal duty hours, to include evenings, weekends, and/or holidays.
  • Shift work and emergency overtime may be required.
  • Employee must maintain current certifications.
  • Disclosure of Political Appointments.
  • Direct Deposit: All federal employees are required to have direct deposit.
  • The employee may be required to travel in military and/or commercial aircraft to perform temporary duty assignments.
  • An advanced intelligence-related or professional/scientific degree is desirable.
