Our platform is pivotal in connecting clients with solutions designed to safeguard and enhance their business and personal financial well-being, encompassing areas such as Insurance, Reinsurance, Cyber Services, and Mortgage Origination. With a workforce exceeding 16,000 across 21 countries, Acrisure has witnessed remarkable growth, scaling from $38 million to $4 billion in revenue within a decade.

TEAM STRUCTURE

In recent years, Acrisure has broadened its international footprint, supported by a dedicated team located in Grand Rapids. This expansion has been achieved through both organic growth and strategic acquisitions, with a robust pipeline of future acquisitions anticipated. The International finance team is now seeking an additional proactive Senior Accountant to manage the increasing portfolio of business entities.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Core Duties:
  • Execute month-end processes, including trial balances, journal entries, and general ledger reconciliations with precision.
  • Support the Manager in generating monthly reports and conducting month-end reviews.
  • Assist in compiling data for statutory tax filings and quarterly/annual corporate tax submissions.
  • Contribute to team initiatives by undertaking ad hoc financial projects as required.
  • Effectively manage workload to ensure timely and accurate completion of all tasks.
  • Demonstrate ownership of assigned projects from inception to completion.
  • Exhibit adaptability in learning team processes independently.
  • Analyze processes to identify necessary tasks and establish completion timelines.
  • Handle complex tasks and larger volumes of work for the team and agency partners.
  • Acquire knowledge across all functional areas of the team.
  • Conduct regular issue resolution and process improvement initiatives.
  • Adhere to established systems, procedures, and regulatory standards.
  • Research and implement GAAP conversion entries as necessary.
  • Foster and maintain relationships with agency partners and corporate accounting colleagues.

EDUCATION, QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS
  • Availability to work on-site at least three days per week.
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting is essential (CPA designation preferred but not mandatory).
  • 3-5 years of progressive experience in accounting is required.
  • Technology Proficiency:
    • Strong command of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
    • Experience with various ERP systems is essential.
    • Familiarity with Workday ERP and Alteryx is advantageous but not required.
  • Interpersonal Skills:
    • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and possessing strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
    • Able to work autonomously while valuing team collaboration.
    • Exhibit a collaborative spirit in a global environment, demonstrating motivation and positive engagement.
    • Effective written and verbal communication skills, with an emphasis on active listening and problem-solving.
    • Excellent time management and prioritization abilities.
    • Meticulous attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
    • Ability to multitask and manage sensitive information discreetly.
    • Maintain a professional demeanor and positive outlook.
  • Technical Accounting Skills:
    • Understanding of Financial Statement Consolidations is preferred but not required.
    • Proficiency in US GAAP is mandatory.
    • Knowledge of IFRS and Foreign Currency Translation is advantageous but not required.
