We are currently seeking an Advanced Accountant to join our Fresh Thyme Market Accounting team. This role is essential in ensuring precise accounting operations, including period-end closing, balance sheet reconciliations, and various reporting and analytical tasks. The Advanced Accountant will engage in collaborative partnerships within the team while upholding the highest standards of accounting accuracy with minimal oversight.

Work Schedule

This position operates on a hybrid schedule, with in-office work required from Monday to Wednesday and remote work from Thursday to Friday.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage period-end closing processes
  • Prepare monthly journal entries in compliance with GAAP
  • Conduct account reconciliations, accruals, and cash reconciliations
  • Ensure adherence to internal controls, including proper approvals and documentation
  • Document and uphold accounting and administrative procedures
  • Meet departmental deadlines and undertake additional tasks as necessary

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field is required
  • Familiarity with MS Dynamics GP accounting software is advantageous
  • 2-4 years of progressive accounting experience is required
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and communication skills

Skills and Competencies

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office with excellent written and verbal communication abilities
  • Experience in developing and maintaining schedules and reports for various projects
  • Adept at multitasking, prioritizing, and working efficiently with keen attention to detail
  • Self-motivated, energetic, and capable of working independently
  • Ability to anticipate work needs and follow through with minimal guidance
  • Exceptional organizational and time management skills
