As a Fabricator - Panels, you will play a critical role in the fabrication of advanced thermal technologies for the world's most challenging industrial heating applications.
Key Responsibilities:- Assemble electrical components, units, subassemblies, and wiring for control panels and systems.
- Position, align, and adjust components and electrical parts to facilitate wiring and assembly.
- Wire complex control panels/systems based on drawings, instructions, and guidelines in a correct and timely manner.
- Manage time, prioritize work, and perform in a fast-paced environment while achieving cost-effective results within a set schedule.
- Manufacture control panels to project specifications under the direction of a Supervisor.
- Read and comprehend electrical schematics, diagrams, blueprints, specifications, work orders, and mechanical drawings.
- Document and maintain electrical and mechanical drawings, redline, to reflect as-built products.
- Follow and maintain 3rd party standards, NEC code, and other applicable standards and codes.
- Follow and understand quality control procedures.
- Communicate with Supervisor/Lead/Engineering regarding the status of work and any quality or design issues.
- Perform routine preventative maintenance on machines/tools as scheduled and required for TPM.
- Work individually and as a team to develop and implement quality and efficiency improvements.
- May be required to cross-train and demonstrate competency on all essential job functions of the department working at different workstations as production needs require.
- Establish and maintain interpersonal relationships; train and teach others.
- Maintain a clean and orderly work area free of excess materials.
- Support and involvement in company, department, and/or safety policies, procedures, programs, and activities.
- Associate technical degree preferred.
- Ability to mount components to panels or equipment.
- Ability to use electronic and pneumatic tools for assembly.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, proportions, and decimals. Ability and understanding of various measuring devices in meeting drawing dimensions and specifications.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as blueprints, schematics, wiring diagrams, sketches, layouts, work orders, work instructions, diagrams, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Good verbal and written communication skills are necessary.
- Work requires continual attention to detail in follow-through, establishing priorities, and meeting deadlines.
- Minimum of one year of related experience.
