About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Behavioral Health Registered Nurse to join our team at LewisGale Medical Center. As a member of our healthcare team, you will be accountable for delivering exceptional care to our psychiatric patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess, plan, intervene, and evaluate care for patients with mental health conditions.
  • Display strong clinical judgment and expert nursing skills while following company policies and procedures.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to coordinate care and develop an effective plan of care.
  • Provide comfort and prevent suffering through presence and attentiveness, including pain assessment and reassessment.
  • Document patient information effectively, succinctly, and timely according to organizational policy.
Requirements
  • Diploma or Associates Degree from a professional nursing program.
  • BSN or current enrollment in a BSN program at an accredited school of Nursing (preferred).
  • Current licensure as an RN in the state of Virginia or current multi-state compact RN license with eligibility to practice in VA.
  • American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) Health Care Provider certification.
