Behavioral Health Nurse

We are seeking an experienced Behavioral Health Registered Nurse to join our team at LewisGale Medical Center. As a member of our team, you will be accountable for delivering exceptional care to our psychiatric patients. · As a Behavioral Health Registered Nurse, you will be responsible for assessing, planning, intervening, and evaluating care for patients with mental health conditions. You will work closely with our interdisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans that address the unique needs of each patient.
· You will provide comfort and prevent suffering through presence and attentiveness, including pain assessment and reassessment. You will also document effectively, succinctly, and timely according to organizational policy.
· In order to provide a great patient experience, you will collaborate with patients, families, and the healthcare team to coordinate care for an effective and current plan of care.
· Requirements:
· Diploma or Associates Degree from a professional nursing program (required)
· BSN or current enrollment in a BSN program at an accredited school of Nursing (preferred)
· Current licensure as an RN in the state of Virginia or current multi-state compact RN license with eligibility to practice in VA is required.
· American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) Health Care Provider (required)
