The ideal applicant will possess a solid understanding of brand dynamics and will be equipped to contribute to our strategic vision.
Core Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the CEO, Production Managers, Buyers, Merchandisers, and Designers to lead the development of innovative and well-balanced product assortments.
- Ensure a seamless flow of merchandise through the business, working closely with Operations and Marketing to guarantee timely and impactful product delivery.
- Communicate financial outcomes, forecasts, and strategic plans to the broader organization.
- Utilize the WSSI to inform strategic decision-making.
- Support the product development cycle while adhering to timelines and critical deadlines.
- Adapt to fluctuations in demand and logistics efficiently.
- Translate relevant trends and fashion insights effectively for our brand and clientele.
- Identify growth opportunities within the product assortment.
- Provide valuable insights on product and competitor activities.
- Conduct comprehensive market research and participate in trade events to stay updated on industry trends and competitor pricing/demand.
- Perform supplier visits as necessary.
- Negotiate with current suppliers and seek new sourcing opportunities as needed, collaborating with fellow buyers to ensure a robust ethical supply chain.
- Oversee all visual merchandising to ensure alignment with internal standards.
Qualifications:
- Degree in a relevant field.
- Deep understanding of fashion with a proven ability to drive profitable business growth.
- A minimum of 4 years of experience in a comparable role.
- Experience in visual merchandising, both online and in retail settings.
- Strong product selection capabilities, blending data analysis with intuition to choose the right products for the appropriate market.
- Analytical mindset with demonstrated experience in analytical roles.
- Ability to solve problems and make informed decisions.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, along with strong relationship management abilities.
- Proven track record of building, leading, and managing teams.
- Capacity to manage and prioritize multiple projects with strict deadlines.
