Key Responsibilities:
  • Training Delivery: Conduct engaging and effective training sessions, both virtually and in-person, focusing on both technical and interpersonal skills.
  • Meeting Facilitation: Lead productive meetings and workshops, both virtually and in-person, often guiding brainstorming and problem-solving discussions.
  • Training Development: Collaborate with subject matter experts to design training materials, supplementary resources, and job aids, utilizing instructional design best practices.
  • Customer Support: Deliver outstanding customer service and assistance to both internal and external stakeholders during training sessions, meetings, and events.
  • Quality Assurance: Review training materials to ensure they meet high-quality standards.
  • Project Management: Oversee and participate in learning initiatives, coordinating tasks and timelines, including the management of training programs.
  • Collaboration: Work effectively with cross-functional teams and subject matter experts, fostering a collaborative atmosphere.
  • Problem-Solving: Assess challenges, make informed decisions, and implement effective solutions.
  • Independence and Initiative: Manage multiple tasks independently, demonstrating proactive initiative.
  • Ethical Conduct: Maintain high ethical standards, protecting proprietary and confidential information.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in energy, environmental policy, environmental science, education for adult learners, or a related field with 5 years of experience in learning content design, presentation, facilitation, and coordination of training-related projects.
OR
  • Master's degree in energy, environmental policy, environmental science, education for adult learners, or a related field with 3 years of experience in learning content design, presentation, facilitation, and coordination of training-related projects.
Skills and Abilities:
  • Presentation Skills: Exceptional ability to engage and inspire diverse audiences during training sessions.
  • Communication: Strong oral and written communication skills, particularly in support of technical training and professional development activities.
  • Technical and Soft Skills Training: Demonstrated experience in both areas.
  • Project Management: Previous experience in quality assurance and project/task management.
  • Team Player: Highly organized and collaborative, able to work effectively with colleagues and external partners in a fast-paced environment.
  • Tech Proficiency: Skilled in MS Office Applications (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Excel, SharePoint, Teams).
  • Confidentiality: Exercises discretion in handling sensitive information.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Familiarity with EPA Climate Partnership Programs, including knowledge of ENERGY STAR and strategic energy management.
  • Experience with training projects in energy efficiency, particularly for manufacturing sectors.
  • Experience with learning management systems, including registration and report generation.
  • Experience using interactive whiteboarding platforms.
  • Willingness to travel as needed.
