Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Associate Program Manager to support our Utility Program Services team in Reston, VA. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for monitoring and supporting the successful delivery of operations across multiple functional areas, including internal operations, client support, and stakeholder management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support energy-related customer programs, including energy efficiency, demand response, and electrification, to ensure overall program success.
  • Collaborate with a multi-functional project team to coordinate internal projects, including portfolio reviews and status updates with internal and client program leads.
  • Manage the performance of trade allies and/or subcontractors who support programs.
  • Deliver effective communication through technical assistance, program training, and guidance.
  • Oversee program performance, including financial management, contract deliverables, strategic planning, quality assurance, and operational efficiencies.
  • Maintain ongoing communications with clients for program status updates, pipeline management, and stakeholder feedback.
  • Prepare and present targeted client and participant presentations to promote program awareness and participation at events.
  • Analyze market trends and technologies to enhance deployment opportunities and increase participation in client utility programs.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Energy, Environmental Studies, Policy, or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience developing, designing, and managing successful energy efficiency programs.
  • 5+ years of experience managing a team, both in-house and virtual.
  • Valid driver's license and successful Motor Vehicle Records (MVR) check.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Energy-related project and/or program implementation experience.
  • Demonstrated experience with business and client development, with a concentration in new opportunity pursuit and capture.
  • Demonstrated experience in continuous improvement in quality assurance/control theories, techniques, and application.
  • Firm understanding of procurement best practices and contract administration.
  • Ability to take direction and work independently towards final results.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to respond to new information, changing conditions, or unexpected obstacles.
