About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled HERS Rater II to join our team at Airtight Energy Consulting, Inc. as we continue to grow and expand our services in the green building industry.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in energy efficiency and green building, with a minimum of 1 year of experience as a HERS rater. They will be responsible for reviewing architectural plans, performing take-offs, and conducting on-site inspections to ensure compliance with ENERGY STAR and green building program requirements.

Responsibilities
  • Review and analyze architectural, mechanical, and lighting plans to ensure compliance with energy code and green building program requirements
  • Perform take-offs of envelope, mechanical, and lighting systems to ensure accurate energy modeling
  • Conduct on-site inspections to verify energy efficiency measures and ensure compliance with ENERGY STAR and green building program requirements
  • Provide project management and consulting services to clients from start to finish
  • Certify projects under ENERGY STAR Homes and ENERGY STAR Multifamily New Construction
Qualifications
  • Bachelor of Science degree in science, engineering, architecture, or a related field
  • Minimum of 1 year experience as a HERS rater
  • Strong knowledge of energy efficiency and green building principles
  • Excellent communication and project management skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
