Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Veterinary Care Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our veterinary care team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care, working closely with our veterinarians and other support staff to ensure the best possible outcomes for our patients.

Responsibilities
  • Provide professional client communication and education, obtaining medical histories and symptoms
  • Perform laboratory procedures, including hematology, cytology, urinalysis, microbiology, blood chemistry, and fecals
  • Assist with diagnostic imaging and implement safety protocols for fellow staff members
  • Nursing skills, including restraining patients, administering medications, applying and maintaining bandages, proficient IV catheter placement and venipuncture, surgery prep, and anesthesia monitoring
  • Competently perform dental prophylaxis
Requirements
  • Veterinary Technician Certification or Licensure (CVT, RVT, LVT, or LVMT) or the ability to transfer credentials from state to state
  • Associate degree in Veterinary Technology
