Avenue Animal Hospital is seeking a dedicated and experienced Veterinary Care Specialist to join our team. As a Veterinary Care Specialist, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our AAHA accredited small animal hospital.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and administer medications and treatments, ensuring accurate dosing and patient safety.
  • Perform IV catheter placement, blood draws, and other medical procedures with precision and care.
  • Provide proper care for hospitalized patients, including monitoring vital signs and administering treatments.
  • Obtain and prepare samples for laboratory evaluations, and accurately record and report results.
  • Prepare invoices, treatment plans, and discharge instructions, ensuring clear and concise communication with clients.
  • Assist with radiographic procedures, including proper technique and positioning.
  • Provide exceptional client education and communication, ensuring a positive experience for all patients and their owners.

Requirements:

  • At least one year of solid veterinary technician experience, with a strong focus on patient care and customer service.
  • A positive attitude, strong work ethic, and ability to work effectively as part of a team.
