About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Maintenance Mechanic to join our team at F&S Produce. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our industrial equipment and facilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Equipment Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance tasks to support operations and plant functions, including scheduled and unscheduled periodic maintenance and cleaning of equipment and machines.
  • Troubleshooting: Troubleshoot and resolve equipment malfunctions, including electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems, motors, variable frequency drives, and other equipment.
  • Work Area Maintenance: Maintain the work area, equipment, and facilities in a clean and orderly condition, adhering to prescribed safety regulations and identifying potential safety hazards.
  • Continuous Improvement: Contribute to continuous process improvement efforts to reduce downtime and cycle times, gain improved efficiencies, and eliminate waste within the processing environment.
  • Training and Development: Provide adequate training for personnel on proper equipment usage and assist in the installation of new production equipment or modification of existing equipment.
Requirements
  • Experience: Minimum of 3 years of industrial maintenance experience in a food manufacturing environment.
  • Technical Skills: Technical background and training with practical experience in plant maintenance, including ability to troubleshoot equipment and perform welding tasks.
  • Communication Skills: Good verbal and written communication skills, with ability to work effectively with team members and management.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to lift/carry a minimum of 50 lbs on occasion, stand for extended periods of time, and work in a climate that varies in temperature.
