Job Title: Mechanic Helper

Job Location: Vineland, NJ

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Mechanic Helper to join our team at Interaction24, LLC. The successful candidate will provide support for the inspection and maintenance of our plant's machinery, grounds, buildings, and equipment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the Lead Mechanic with the repair and maintenance of machinery and equipment in accordance with diagrams, operational manuals, and manufacturing specifications.
  • Perform preventive maintenance functions as directed using SAP Tablets.
  • Lubricate all machinery with the correct lubricants.
  • Work from a ladder safely.
  • Paint and/or repair any surfaces in or around the building and grounds.
  • Remove and/or replace defective parts using hand and/or power tools.
  • Maintain a safe and clean working environment when doing repairs.
  • Follow and enforce company GMP procedures and policies.
  • Know where emergency ESTOP and START/STOP buttons are located.
  • Follow the Lock Out/Tag Out procedures for machines and utilities when necessary.
  • Must be safety conscious.
  • Perform special requests by Lead Mechanic/Maintenance Supervisor.
  • Direct and support contractors engaged in repairing and maintaining facility equipment and general building maintenance.
  • Must be able to work well with all levels of personnel, whether individually or in a team environment, and especially must be able to interface and communicate with line operators, maintenance techs, and office staff to assist with repairs and troubleshooting.
  • Will be required to work any shift and overtime as needed.

Qualification Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED certificate required.
  • Will need to have their own tools to perform daily maintenance tasks.
  • Must be able to successfully pass an oral/written test to demonstrate required knowledge/abilities required of the position.
  • Prefer 1 year's prior maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Basic mechanical aptitude, basic math skills, and ability to use basic gauges and measuring tools are required.

Physical Demands

Works in a manufacturing environment where the employee must be able to move 75 pounds at a distance of 25 feet or more. Must be able to stand for an 8-10 hour shift (sometimes longer) with regular breaks while performing repetitive work. May be required to work overtime, weekends, and/or holidays as needed. The employee is regularly exposed to heat, fumes, odors, dust, oil, slippery floors, moving parts/equipment, and risk of electrical shock. Earplugs, safety glasses, beard nets (if facial hair exists), hairnets, and steel-toed/slip-resistant shoes are required in the plant in accordance with company GMP and safety standards.
