Job Summary

The Director of Manufacturing Operations will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our manufacturing facility, ensuring efficient and effective production of high-quality seating solutions. This role will drive efficiency and profitability in the manufacturing process, collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, and ensure operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Develop and Execute Strategic Plans: Develop and execute strategic plans tailored to the aerospace manufacturing industry, specifically focusing on aircraft interiors.
  2. Lead and Manage Operations Teams: Lead and manage a team of operations professionals, providing guidance and support in driving efficiency and productivity in the manufacturing process.
  3. Identify and Implement Process Improvements: Identify areas for process improvement within the aircraft interiors manufacturing sector and implement measures to increase operational efficiency and effectiveness.
  4. Monitor and Analyze Key Performance Indicators: Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) specific to aerospace manufacturing to evaluate operational performance and identify areas for improvement.
  5. Collaborate with Cross-Functional Teams: Collaborate with other executives and department heads to align operational goals with overall business objectives, considering the unique requirements of aircraft interiors manufacturing.
  6. Implement Best Practices and SOPs: Implement best practices and standard operating procedures (SOPs) to ensure compliance and mitigate operational risks within the aerospace industry.
  7. Develop and Maintain Relationships: Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders in the aerospace manufacturing sector, including clients and suppliers, to drive business growth and customer satisfaction.
  8. Foster a Culture of Innovation: Foster a culture of innovation and efficiency within the organization, encouraging team members to suggest and implement new ideas and initiatives within the aircraft interiors manufacturing domain.
  9. Stay Up-to-Date with Industry Trends: Stay up-to-date with industry trends, innovations, and advancements in aerospace manufacturing, particularly in aircraft interiors, to ensure the organization remains competitive and at the forefront of operational excellence.
  10. Manage Budget and Forecast: Manage, forecast, and report annual budget and prepare and manage the annual budgeting cycle in conjunction with Finance.
  11. Assist with Additional Functions: Assist with a wide array of additional functions as necessary within rapid growth startup.

Requirements

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional with the following qualifications:

  1. Education: Bachelor's Degree in Operations Management, or related field. Masters' Degree in related field or MBA preferred.
  2. Experience: 10+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment, with experience in aerospace. 5+ years of proven experience in a leadership role within the aerospace manufacturing industry, with a specific focus on aircraft interiors.
  3. Leadership Skills: Excellent leadership skills, with a track record of effectively managing teams and driving performance in the manufacturing process.
  4. Operational Knowledge: Demonstrated ability to develop and implement operational strategies that align with business goals in the aerospace manufacturing sector, specifically in aircraft interiors.
  5. Communication Skills: Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and build strong relationships in the aerospace manufacturing industry.
  6. Business Acumen: Strong business acumen, with a solid understanding of financial management principles and practices within the aerospace manufacturing field.
  7. Regulatory Knowledge: Familiarity with industry regulations and compliance requirements specific to aerospace manufacturing and aircraft interiors. Must have knowledge and experience with FAA and EASA regulations.
