Position Summary

We are seeking a seasoned traveling superintendent with expertise in commercial construction. The ideal candidate will possess a robust history of overseeing projects from inception to completion, including new builds, expansions, and interior modifications. Proficiency in managing the construction of establishments such as restaurants, convenience stores, banks, and retail spaces is highly valued.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee and coordinate all on-site personnel and subcontractors to ensure timely and budget-compliant project completion.
  • Collaborate effectively with subcontractors to guarantee high-quality workmanship aligned with project specifications and client expectations.
  • Manage the construction schedule diligently, coordinating with all stakeholders to meet project deadlines.
  • Foster and maintain professional relationships with clients, subcontractors, suppliers, and team members.
  • Engage with local building officials and inspectors, scheduling necessary inspections and material deliveries to maintain project timelines.
  • Ensure a well-organized and safe work environment by enforcing WH Bass safety protocols, promoting safe work practices, and addressing any site hazards promptly.
  • Communicate project progress and challenges effectively to the Project Manager.
  • Regularly update project schedules and finalize punch lists.
Qualifications and Skills
  • Extensive experience in scheduling, material procurement, field supervision, quality assurance, and all phases of commercial construction.
  • Demonstrated experience as a traveling superintendent in commercial building projects.
  • Physical capability to assist on-site when necessary, including lifting heavy materials and maintaining mobility on construction sites.
  • Strong attention to detail with a focus on quality assurance.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage a diverse range of personalities.
  • Effective communication skills with various stakeholders, including team members, clients, city officials, and subcontractors.
  • Professionally and technically proficient in construction management.
