360 Rail Services, LLC is a locally owned and operated company specializing in Railroad Design, Maintenance, and Construction. Based in Englewood, CO, we cater to a diverse range of sectors including Energy, Agriculture, Aggregate, and Transit. This role is based in our Denver office.

We are seeking dedicated, independent, and motivated individuals to join our team in the dynamic field of railroad construction and maintenance. Prior experience in the rail sector is essential.

Role Overview:

The Railway Construction Supervisor will oversee and direct a team of five workers to ensure successful project delivery while achieving corporate and project objectives related to safety, quality, profitability, and timelines, ultimately leading to high customer satisfaction.

The ideal candidate should possess the ability to interpret drawings and design plans to ascertain the necessary construction requirements for the tracks.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the Manager of Track Maintenance to strategize work activities, including safety action plans.
  • Examine all project documentation and plans to guarantee that fieldwork adheres to the latest specifications.
  • Organize daily operations for assigned projects, ensuring the availability of adequate resources for timely task completion, including labor, tools, equipment, and materials.
  • Accountable for crew performance in relation to company objectives, safety audits, and adherence to policies and procedures, initiating follow-up actions as necessary, including training and discipline.
  • Conduct daily briefings with the crew to discuss production goals, performance feedback, safety, schedules, and potential hazards, while encouraging worker input.
  • Maintain a strong commitment to safety by modeling, educating, and enforcing safe work practices and company policies.
  • Ensure that all field personnel have access to and utilize appropriate safety equipment.
  • Engage with customers to ensure a high level of satisfaction.
  • Coordinate with contractors or subcontractors to align work goals and expectations.
  • Assist in training and motivating team members.
  • Handle various administrative tasks, including production reports, timesheets, equipment logs, inspection reports, change orders, and project file updates.
  • Perform other related administrative or project-based duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • At least 2 years of experience in construction or maintenance crew roles within the rail construction industry.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of track construction and maintenance processes.
  • Ability to read and interpret project-specific documents, including schedules and railway plans.
  • Proficient in record-keeping and preparing work and time reports.
  • Capable of understanding and executing instructions efficiently.
  • Experience supervising others and effectively communicating instructions to the crew.
  • Thorough understanding of occupational hazards and safety precautions relevant to the work.
  • Strong client relationship management skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.

Physical and Attendance Requirements:

  • This role involves hands-on work at outdoor construction sites.
  • Frequent standing, walking, climbing, balancing, lifting, bending, and moving objects weighing up to 90 pounds.
  • Exposure to various weather conditions, including extreme heat and cold.
  • Exposure to loud noise levels.
  • Potential exposure to live tracks/trains and high voltage.
  • Travel may be required, ranging from a few weeks to months on-site at a time, with travel home covered by the company every 4 to 5 weeks.
