Railway Drafter

360 Rail Services is seeking an experienced Drafter 2 to join our team. This position requires a strong understanding of CAD principles, advanced proficiency with CAD software, and prior experience working on technical drafting for infrastructure projects.

Key Responsibilities:

• Create and modify detailed technical drawings and plans using CAD software for various railroad infrastructure projects.
• Collaborate with engineers and designers to ensure accuracy and compliance with project specifications.
• Interpret engineering sketches, drawings, and layouts to produce construction documents.
• Perform quality checks on drawings to ensure precision and compliance with company and industry standards.
• Mentor and provide guidance to junior drafters and ensure adherence to best practices.
• Maintain accurate drawing databases and update records as necessary.
• Assist in project coordination and ensure timely delivery of drafting assignments.

Requirements:

• Advanced proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD or similar).
• Strong understanding of CAD principles and drafting techniques.
• 2+ years of experience in drafting for infrastructure or related projects.
• Familiarity with engineering principles and their application in drafting.
• Excellent attention to detail and the ability to resolve design issues independently.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Experience in mentoring or training junior staff is a plus.
