Job Summary

PacifiCorp is seeking a highly skilled Substation Major Equipment Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing electrical engineering solutions to support our company's objectives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Analyze and design electrical systems, including substation major equipment, to ensure safe and efficient operation.
  • Develop and implement engineering studies, plans, specifications, calculations, evaluations, design documents, and performance assessments.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement process improvements.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to junior engineers and technicians.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry developments and best practices to ensure our engineering solutions are innovative and effective.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or a related field.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in electrical engineering, preferably in the utility industry.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical engineering principles, including circuit analysis, power systems, and control systems.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and prioritize multiple tasks and projects.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's degree in electrical engineering or a related field.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license.
  • Experience with project management and leadership.
  • Knowledge of industry-specific software and tools.
