We are seeking a highly skilled Principal Machine Learning Engineer to join our Central AI team in Bellevue, WA. As a key member of our organization, you will play a pivotal role in constructing the fundamental infrastructure, data pipeline, frameworks, models, and other capabilities to expedite AI feature development throughout the entire company.
Responsibilities- Design and implement cutting-edge machine learning algorithms and train sophisticated models to build AI functionalities into Atlassian products and services.
- Collaborate with product, engineering, and analytics teams to drive the development and implementation of AI capabilities.
- Provide guidance to emerging ML engineers and conduct rigorous experimentation and model evaluations.
- Ensure AI's transformative potential is realized across our offerings.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
- 5+ years of related industry experience in the data science domain.
- Expertise in Python or Java with the ability to write performant production-quality code, familiarity with SQL, knowledge of Spark and cloud data environments (e.g. AWS, Databricks).
- Experience building and scaling machine learning models in business applications using large amounts of data.
- Ability to communicate and explain data science concepts to diverse audiences.
At Atlassian, we strive to design equitable, explainable, and competitive compensation programs. Our current base pay ranges for new hires in each zone are:
- Zone A: $229,300 - $305,700
- Zone B: $206,300 - $275,100
- Zone C: $190,300 - $253,700
