Job Overview

Launch is dedicated to providing a high-quality learning and care environment for children. We are seeking a Preschool Assistant Teacher to work in our preschool setting, Monday through Friday, from 9:00 am-6:00 pm.

Responsibilities

The Preschool Assistant Teacher will be responsible for providing a safe, caring, and academically enriching environment for preschool children. This includes ensuring the curriculum and activities are developmentally appropriate and meet all identified academic and development domains. The assistant teacher will also perform activities that ensure the safety, involvement, and creativity of each individual in the group.

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A minimum of 18 years of age
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • A minimum of two years' experience working with preschool children (3-5 year old's) with knowledge and competence in behavior management skills and activity planning/coordinating
Requirements

In addition to the qualifications above, you will need to:

  • Be able to communicate with children and adults in a positive and proactive manner
  • Exhibit cultural humility when working with staff and families from diverse racial, ethnic, and socio-economic backgrounds
  • Be able to create versatile and varied age-appropriate activities for children of different ages and developmental stages
  • Work effectively both independently and as a team member
