We are in search of a seasoned expert in the Healthcare sector to take on the role of Risk Engineering Services Leader for our Healthcare Industry Practice. This pivotal position will oversee risk engineering initiatives and provide strategic support to Chubb's Healthcare Industry Practice Tower, which includes various business units such as Commercial Insurance, Major Accounts, Westchester, Bermuda, and Small Business Insurance.

The Risk Engineering Services Leader will play a crucial role in shaping underwriting risk mitigation strategies, offering technical guidance, and developing comprehensive guidelines for risk assessments conducted across our North America field network. Key responsibilities include conducting loss control evaluations, coordinating services, fostering an inclusive team culture, and delivering innovative solutions to enhance the value proposition of Risk Engineering.

This position requires significant travel (over 35%) across North America and offers flexibility in location within the United States.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee complex account management across North America
  • Coordinate service delivery, including client stewardship meetings
  • Conduct site evaluations and risk assessments for intricate healthcare operations
  • Provide expert consultation to both internal and external stakeholders
  • Present actionable recommendations to minimize loss potential
  • Support business growth, non-insurance revenue generation, and profitability
  • Collaborate with the North America Underwriting Healthcare Industry Practice Leader to align on Risk Engineering priorities
  • Work with Risk Engineering Strategy & Operations to manage vendor relationships and performance
  • Oversee existing Healthcare tools and services
  • Engage directly with clients and policyholders to support and retain profitable business
  • Develop and mentor a team of risk engineers focused on healthcare services across North America
  • Create and maintain updated technical resources, guidelines, and service standards
  • Drive the Healthcare Quality Assurance (QA) process to ensure consistent service quality
  • Ensure effective utilization of risk engineering efforts in underwriting
  • Develop and manage thought leadership initiatives for internal and external stakeholders
  • Conduct research projects to support healthcare underwriting and claims
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in healthcare risk management or loss prevention
  • Bachelor’s degree in Safety & Health, Sciences, Engineering, or a related field
  • Relevant professional certifications (e.g., Certified Safety Professional, Certified Fire Protection Specialist, Certified Professional in Healthcare Risk Management)
  • Preferred candidates will possess specialized expertise in healthcare multi-line risk assessments
  • Proven leadership capabilities with integrity and resolve
  • Experience in developing and executing strategic plans and procedures
  • Strong understanding of industry standards and their application
  • Demonstrated ability to manage successful Risk Engineering programs and initiatives
  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written, with public speaking proficiency
  • Strong analytical and decision-making skills, focusing on high-priority issues
  • Strategic mindset with the ability to translate strategy into actionable objectives
  • Comprehensive knowledge of Risk Engineering operations and insurance-related activities
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Acrobat; familiarity with SharePoint and Access is a plus

The compensation range for this role is between $128,500 and $215,000, with the specific offer contingent on the candidate's qualifications and other relevant factors. This position may also be eligible for a discretionary annual incentive program. Chubb provides a comprehensive benefits package, details of which are available upon request.
