About the Role

Kaiser Permanente is seeking a skilled Radiology Technologist to join our team in a dynamic and patient-centered environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform mammography and other related breast imaging procedures, adhering to guidelines from the American College of Radiology (ACR) and the Food and Drug Administration (FDA).
  • Conduct patient assessments and provide care to meet patients' needs, ensuring a high level of patient satisfaction.
  • Assist physicians in performing image-guided diagnostic and invasive procedures, such as stereotactic biopsies and needle localizations.
  • Apply knowledge of radiation protection principles to minimize radiation exposure for patients, self, and others.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, both manual and computerized.
  • Perform equipment quality control checks and report any malfunctions or variations to the mammography manager or maintenance team.
  • Provide instruction and guidance to students and other mammographers, promoting effective communication and conflict resolution skills.
  • Stay current with departmental standard operating procedures, including quality control requirements and preventative maintenance.
  • Participate in the continuous quality improvement process, identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes as needed.
Requirements
  • Three years of total mammography experience, including one year of experience with breast biopsy procedures.
  • Associates degree or accredited hospital-based radiologic technology program.
  • Radiologic Technologist License (Virginia) and Basic Life Support certification.
  • American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification in Mammography.
