Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Project Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will have a strong background in construction management, with experience in managing day-to-day activities of subcontractors and suppliers. Key responsibilities will include contract administration, procurement, estimating, pay requests, change orders, requests for information, cost control, scheduling, tracking submittals, and maintaining a high level of quality.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage day-to-day activities of subcontractors and suppliers
  • Contract administration, including review and negotiation of contracts
  • Procurement and expediting of materials and equipment
  • Process and manage requests for information (RFIs)
  • Review and submit shop drawings and submittals
  • Project cost review, reporting, and accounting
  • Review and negotiate change proposal pricing from subcontractors
  • Prepare and document change orders
  • Research and suggest options on construction means, methods, and equipment
  • Quality control and assurance
  • Project closeout and documentation

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Building Construction, Engineering, or a related field
  • Construction management internship experience
  • OSHA site safety experience
  • Up-to-date with modern technology and excellent communication skills
  • General knowledge of construction principles and practices
  • Strong work ethic and desire to work in a team environment
  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel may be required
  • Working knowledge of project management process and software (Microsoft Office and SAGE 300 CRE)
