Key Responsibilities:

• Observe load hook-up and determine the safety of the load.

• Manipulate crane control to regulate speed and direction of crane and hoist movement according to written, verbal, or signal instructions.

• Clean and maintain crane and hoisting mechanism to ensure optimal performance and safety.

• Inspect crane for defective parts and notify the supervisor of defects or malfunctions.

• Load, transport, and unload materials, tools, equipment, and supplies safely and efficiently.

• Assist in lifting, positioning, and securing materials and work pieces during installation.

• Perform minor maintenance or cleaning activities of tools and equipment to ensure they are in good working condition.

• Safely operate crane, hoist mechanism, tools, and materials to prevent accidents and injuries.

• Assist in assembly and disassembly of cranes to ensure they are properly maintained and serviced.

• Plan and coordinate crane movement and set-up to ensure efficient and safe operations.

• Adhere to all safety procedures and protocols to prevent accidents and injuries.

Requirements:

• Must have NCCER and/or NCCCO assessments for applicable crane operation.

• Typically requires a minimum of 48 months industrial construction experience.

• Must have a strong understanding of crane safety procedures and protocols.

• Must be able to work at heights and in confined spaces.

• Must be able to lift and move heavy equipment and materials.
