Perianesthesia Care Specialist

About the Role:
In this role, you will work as a highly skilled pediatric nurse in our Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU). As a member of our team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional care to children and their families. You will use your expertise and clinical judgment to assess patients' needs, develop individualized plans of care, and implement evidence-based interventions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct patient care to children undergoing anesthesia procedures
- Assess patients' physical and emotional needs, and develop individualized plans of care
- Implement evidence-based interventions to promote optimal patient outcomes
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure seamless care transitions
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of patient interactions and care delivered
Requirements:
- At least 1 year of job-related experience required
- Four-year Bachelor's degree in Nursing required
- Current license to practice professional nursing in the State of Texas
- BLS certification approved by the American Heart Association
- PALS/NRP/ACLS certifications (department-specific requirements)
