About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Perianesthesia Nurse Specialist to join our team in the Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU). As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide high-quality patient care and support to patients undergoing surgery or other medical procedures.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Provide exceptional patient care: Assess patients' needs, develop individualized plans of care, and implement evidence-based practices to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team: Work closely with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care and ensure seamless transitions throughout the healthcare encounter.
  • Maintain accurate records: Document patient information, treatment plans, and progress notes in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Support education and training: Serve as a preceptor for new nursing staff members and contribute to ongoing education and training initiatives to enhance professional development.

Requirements:

  • Education: Graduate from an accredited school of nursing.
  • Experience: Minimum two years of experience in Phase I PACU, ICU, or ED.
  • Certifications: Current RN license, CPR course completion card, Advanced Life Support (ALS), and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification.
