Job Summary

The Department of Surgical Sciences at the University of Wisconsin, School of Veterinary Medicine is seeking a highly qualified candidate for a full-time Assistant/Associate Professor in Small Animal Orthopedic Surgery. The successful candidate will join the Orthopedic Surgery Section, which is comprised of experienced professionals and a dynamic group of certified veterinary technicians.

Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing clinical service in the teaching hospital, participating in clinical and didactic teaching of veterinary students, residents, and interns, and pursuing clinical research. The candidate will also be expected to lead resident-based or student-based rounds and participate in classroom lectures and laboratory sessions.

Key Responsibilities:

Requirements

The successful candidate must have a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine or equivalent degree and be eligible to obtain and maintain licensure to practice veterinary medicine in the state of Wisconsin. A Diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Surgeons with advanced training in orthopedic surgery is preferred. Board-eligible individuals will also be considered.
